Consulting | Process

Most consulting engagements will follow my 5-Step Process, with the intent of ensuring alignment, clear tracking and understanding of progress made.

GOALS

We will discover what you hope to achieve, with a focus on what we believe will be the largest impact.

What challenges do you want to overcome?

What successes would you like to replicate?

If I feel I'm unable to help, I'll try to refer you to someone from my network who can.

STRATEGY

We will co-design our approach to help you move toward your goals.

I will learn about you and your organization to customize an approach that fits your needs and speaks your language. I'll incorporate what I have learned from 12 years leading teams at Google, and from the extensive research I completed to write The Safety Effect.

BASELINE

We will partner to understand the starting point, from which we can grow.

I'll review existing data and uncover new information through surveys, interviews and focus groups. This allows us to understand the starting point and the progress we are making as we implement the strategy, so we can adjust if we aren't achieving the desired results.

IMPLEMENT

In most cases, my goal is to empower you to implement the strategy.

This will include a project plan and communication strategy aligned to timelines and clear accountability.

When needed, I am happy to also help deliver the plan.

ANALYZE

This will typically happen throughout the process to ensure progress, but is particularly important at the end, as we compare against the baseline.

We will assess what went well and what could improve in the future, so you and your team can continue to improve. We can then assess next steps.
